Welcome to the Olympic Peninsula
Marketing - With a degree from the John Crawford School of Advertising at the University of Oregon, I worked at L.A.’s Gray and Associates Advertising as a junior copywriter selling California oranges and Mitsubishi stereos. I think in terms of demographics and micro-targeting – who is your buyer and what features fit their lifestyle. Imagine a national account copywriter writing your listing description and placing your social media ads.
Technical Savvy - In early 1994, when the Internet was less than a year old, I published my first website. I’ve been designing and building websites for nearly 30 years, even streamed an early radio station in 2002 - Grayponytail Radio. Today, I’m involved in creating websites with video content for my real estate clients.
Negotiation Skills - For over a decade, I negotiated million-dollar institutional projects with some of the toughest buyers in the country – government buyers. My company, InData Networks can still be found at Stafford Creek Correctional Facility and JBLM, Chief Leschi School and Jackson Hole High Schools to name a few. As a full time Windermere broker, I now negotiate for my clients because I'm a fiduciary, intent on getting the most for my clients.
Project Management - I can keep a transaction on schedule like a German train conductor. That's because I've been an Apple Computer product manager where Gantt charts determine completion dates, task management, and risk assessments. Things happen in a real estate transaction that take planning and problem solving.
Market Awareness - I have lived in Mason County over 20 years and served on the Mason County Shoreline Act Advisory Board. I know this place as well as anyone and the issues of waterfront ownership better than most. Unlike in Seattle, most people in Mason County have never lived here requiring very different skills. We can always tell an out-of-area listing - no brochures in the box and no quick-to-show number to call.
The times they are a changing. - Bob Dylan
It’s now the summer of '22 - we are return to normal. No longer can your neighbor’s son-in-law in Renton list your Mason County home, knowing nothing about our market but still get 10% more than your asking price. It’s time for an area pro who’s listing description is filled with search engine keywords rather than just adjectives, who advertises rather than just posts and can negotiate rather than just pick the highest and best offer. Buyers can again choose what's right for them rather than what's available before the interest rates go up. Again, it takes a Windermere Broker. Call and let’s talk about what you would like to get done.
